LT495A - Spretnak Organic
Spretnak romaine lettuce seeds are CERTIFIED ORGANIC! Try this tasty, compact romaine in large containers on your balcony, or in your organic vegetable garden. This is a beautiful, deep green Little Gem type romaine with very nice flavour. Short, well-closing heads are tightly packed around blanched hearts. This variety grows best in the cool weather of spring and autumn. It is strongly tolerant to Sclerotinia, and highly resistant to most strains of downy mildew. Try it under cloche cover for winter harvests - with a little frost protection, it should keep growing slowly for winter salads.

How To Grow
Lettuce can be harvested from the garden from late spring to the late fall, and sometimes (given a bit of protection) all winter. The high protein chlorophyll in the dark-green leaves is highly nutritious. Salads are not complete without these leafy greens. Follow along with this handy how to grow lettuce from seed guide and grow fresh salad leaves all season long.
