This slower growing Batavian lettuce has good heat resistance and a long harvest window, which means it is a great choice for growing in the summer when most lettuces are struggling in the heat. It is resistant to aphids, downy mildew, tomato bushy stunt virus and lettuce mosaic virus. The frilly, green leaves are delightfully crisp but without being brittle. It has a great flavour and a wonderful texture. Celinet is excellent prepared in a variety of ways and makes a beautiful background to a summer salad.
