Oaklands Elementary School is home to a beautiful courtyard garden that offers students and staff moments of quiet, reflection, and connection to nature. The garden functions as an outdoor classroom while also serving as a daily pedestrian pathway between school buildings, making it a central and well-used space within the school community.
The garden features fruit-bearing plants and native species that support local ecosystems. We are currently fundraising to rehabilitate the existing pollinator garden and to introduce a new sensory herb and edible flower garden bed designed to support diverse learning and well-being needs and engage students in the beauty of growing a garden.
The garden is actively cared for by a collaborative team of staff, students, and community volunteers, fostering stewardship, environmental learning, and shared responsibility.
Please include your student's name, division number and teacher name for ease of distribution. The seeds will be distributed through the school to the students, the orders will not be shipped to individual addresses.
Thanks so much for your support in helping our garden grow!
