Dear MRCS Community,
For the past couple of decades, MRCS high school students and staff have given up part of their Spring Break to go serve at Esperanza Ministries on Vancouver Island.
The purpose of this trip is to give an opportunity to the students at MRCS to serve, build community, and to grow in their faith and share with each other their journey with God.
What is Esperanza?
Esperanza originally operated as a medical mission (from 1937 to 1974) to the surrounding area. Now as a camp, it offers a place of refuge, community, and service to the first nations people of the region.
For the past 20 years or so, with an open invitation from Esperanza to partner with their ministry, MRCS has sent a team of students to the camp during spring break. Students volunteer their time and serve as a work team, helping prepare the camp for the summer months. In doing this we fill a needed role in the ongoing ministry of this camp. The camp is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
Would you partner with us through this fundraiser to alleviate some of the financial burden on those who have chosen to serve?
