The Green & Gold Community Garden, on the University of Alberta's South Campus farm, grows over 60 varieties of vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers. Run entirely by volunteers, all the Garden produce is sold at weekly markets to raise funds for the Tubahumurize Association for socioeconomically marginalized women in Rwanda. Tubahumurize provides trauma counselling, health education, vocational training, and micro-credit loans to help women start small businesses to support their families.
