MS512A - TVG1
Oblong, football shaped Treviso type has dark red oval leaves with thick white ribs and veins. TVG1 performs well in both early spring and summer plantings for fall harvest, with good tolerance to bolting. 18-22cm (7-8.5") heads weigh in at about 400g (14oz), with have the same gorgeous color as Perseo Chioggia, but a bit milder flavour. TVG1 adds crunch, colour, and an appealing bitterness to salads which is balanced nicely with balsamic vinegar or citrus. Also tastes fantastic grilled.
