BT163A - Red Atlas F1
This high yielding beet produces impressively uniform roots. Red Atlas has a very high sugar content of 12-15% and the deep red flesh shows subtle internal zoning. The upright plants grow to around 35cm (14") tall and are slow to bolt. Great for tops and processing, as well as for bunched beets at markets. They are moderately resistant to Downy and Powdery Mildew.

How To Grow
Beets are incredibly healthy eating. Both the roots and the leaves are an excellent source of antioxidants, minerals, and vitamin C. They also contain betaine, a compound that is essential for cardiovascular health. Eat them raw, cooked, pickled – you can even make beet chips! Most important, it is very easy to grow beets from seed.
