SQ740A - Tivoli
C. pepo. Tivoli is an All America Selections Winner. This hybrid is the first bush spaghetti squash. Like other bush squash plants, it will produce short vines after the initial fruit set. Tivoli squash seeds produce 15cm (6") long, oval fruits with creamy flesh and appealing texture. These small plants can be spaced quite close together for higher productivity per acre. They are also compact for smaller garden spaces, raised beds, and even large containers like half barrels. Tivoli is a great choice for urban gardeners who need to manage limited space. Be sure to provide fertile soil and fairly even moisture throughout the growing season.

How To Grow
The three species of squash that we offer represent a wide variety of shapes and colours. Each will cross-pollinate readily within their species. For instance, all C. pepo will cross-pollinate with each other, but not with C. maxima or C. moschata. For people who want to save their seeds, this is a very important consideration. The fruits themselves will not be affected by cross pollination, but the seeds inside will be, so squash need to be grown in isolation from other members of their species if seed saving is the goal.
