MS482A - Large Leaf Sorrel Organic
Rumex acetosa. Large Leaf Sorrel Organic is a vigorous perennial plant that provides huge harvests of delicious, lemony, blonde-green leaves from September through winter into the following summer. Sow Large Leaf Organic Sorrel seeds May to June 1cm (1/2") deep in rows 45cm (18") apart. Grow plants 30cm (12") apart. Sorrel goes to seed in mid-summer, but its pollen is food for several predatory insects including the Minute Pirate Bug and the Big-Eyed Bug. Sorrel is a widely used herb in eastern Europe, India, and Vietnam, where it is commonly combined with other greens and eaten raw or cooked in soups, stews, and pastries.
