SUMMER/FALL HARVEST. Taiwan Cabbage cabbage seeds produce an oblate or flat-growing hybrid known as KY Cross, with heads that are wider than they are tall. These are surrounded with massive wrapper leaves. This popular variety has really nice flavour and outstanding heat tolerance in heads averaging 1.5kg, but up to 2.5kg (6 lbs) in warm summers with good soil fertility. Rely on KY Cross for good production in coastal settings, with hybrid uniformity and excellent culinary potential. Days to maturity is from transplant date.

Cabbage is another member of the Brassica family that is full of nutrients, including vitamins A, B1, B2, and C, as well as various antioxidants. The American Cancer Society strongly urges an increased intake of cabbage and other Brassicas in the diets of North Americans. Eating lots of cabbage may also protect the eyes from macular degeneration. To preserve its vitamins and mineral content, do not overcook cabbage. Store cut cabbage in the refrigerator in a plastic bag with holes in it and use as soon as possible.
