Verbena is a perennial plant sometimes grown as an annual. It’s also known as Vervain, Purpletop, and Clustertop. Some references call this variety Brazilian Verbena, but this isn’t really correct, as the true Brazilian Verbena is Verbena brasiliensis. It is easy to grow Verbena just follow along.

Timing
Sow indoors 8-10 weeks before transplanting out. Vernalize seeds by sowing them in pre-moistened, sterilized seed starting mix in trays. Place trays in plastic bags inside the refrigerator for 2 weeks. Then bring trays up to 18-25°C (65-75°F), and seeds will germinate in 14-90 days.
Or simply sow outdoors after last frost.
Starting
Just cover the tiny seeds. Space plants 30-45cm (12-18″) apart.
Growing
This variety will bloom in the first year from an indoor start. This Verbena will self sow and spread.
