TM767A - Siletz Organic
CERTIFIED ORGANIC! Siletz Organic tomato seeds produce the earliest variety of slicing tomato. Siletz organic tomato plants will set fruit in warm or cool conditions, but are specifically bred to set fruit early on cool nights without pollination (parthenocarpic). Enjoy prolific early yields of deep red, blemish-free fruits. Siletz organic tomatoes average227-454 grams (8-16oz) and 10-15 cm(4-5") in diameter. A great slicing tomato, Siletz Organic tomatoes are nearly seedless, and have a wonderful flavour with a sweet, acid taste.
Developed by Dr. Baggett at Oregon State University to thrive in cooler environments, Siletz Organic tomato plants are an improvement on the Oregon Spring variety, to be earlier and more vigorous with better resistance to cracking and cat facing. Plants from Siletz Organic tomato seeds are an outstanding, reliable producer in the cool conditions typically found on the West Coast. Resistant to Verticillium Wilt and Fusarium Wilt (Race 1).
Siletz Organic tomato plants have thick stems and heavy foliage - stake well to support vigorous growth.

How To Grow
Summer-ripened tomatoes are a good source of vitamin C and beta-carotene. The lycopene in the tomatoes is an anti-oxidant, but is only released when the tomatoes are cooked. They also contain compounds that block cancer-causing nitrosamines. We use the convention of Bush to mean determinate (fruit set more or less all at once on short plants). Vine means indeterminate (fruit sets over a longer time on tall-growing plants). Follow along with this handy How to Grow Tomatoes Guide and grow food.!
