MU558A - Red Dragon
Sow Red Dragon mustard seeds at any time of the year for fast growing, mildly flavoured mustard greens. The leaves resemble oak leaves, but are a rich purple colour, with bronze-green margins and deep purple veins. This mustard does not require warm soil for germination, so it's an excellent pick for early spring and late fall cropping. It has been bred for fast growth and resistance to bolting, so it is slower to go to seed in summer heat than many others. The flavour is quite like mizuna, with a very subtle horseradish overtone, but without the heat of some of the other mustards.
