Radicchio di Lusia is an early maturing chicory for summer or fall harvest. Plant Radicchio di Lusia seeds for heads that are a little bit less bitter than those with darker red coloration like Rossa di Verona. Radicchio makes a splendid grilled vegetable, drizzled with olive oil, and then slightly charred before adding a few drops of balsamic vinegar.
