LT488A - Plato Organic
Plato organic romaine lettuce seeds are CERTIFIED ORGANIC! Plato II is a big, burly, dark green lettuce that stays open as it matures. This variety is slow to bolt and resistant to tip burn, downy mildew, and Sclerotinia better than any other green Romaines. Ready to harvest as baby salad greens in as little as 30 days. Its disease resistance package makes Plato II a good candidate for winter lettuce production under artificial lights. Even an unheated greenhouse or cloche cover might provide enough frost protection to keep this lettuce producing into the winter months.

How To Grow
Lettuce can be harvested from the garden from late spring to the late fall, and sometimes (given a bit of protection) all winter. The high protein chlorophyll in the dark-green leaves is highly nutritious. Salads are not complete without these leafy greens.
