MS485A - Magenta Orach Organic
CERTIFIED ORGANIC! Also known as Orache, Saltbush, or Mountain Spinach. This little known relative of Amaranth and Quinoa produces bright fuchsia, succulent, tasty leaves unlike any other salad leaf. Magenta Orach Organic seeds produce plants with eye-catching leaves that simply pop in salad mixes - the flavour is sharp with subtle salty overtones. This variety is descended from wild mountain spinach originally found growing in Montana. It is very well adapted for coastal growing. Let some orach plants go to flower in late summer, as the pollen is highly attractive to predatory syrphid flies that will protect your other fall crops from aphids.
