Rossa di Milano onion seeds are an unusual and rare Italian heirloom. These storage onions have bright purple/red skins and a barrel shape, with flat bottoms. Sweet and pungent. The look sensational when braided for winter use, and are highly prized by market growers. We find them resistant to pests and disease, with strong tops and reliable and uniform bulb development. The flavour is refined, but pronounced. Once you try Rossa di Milano onions, you will want them in your garden every year. Properly cured onions will store for several months.
